Skincare is so important to combat aging. In-office procedures help tremendously but what you do every day to nourish and maintain your skin is key to success in aging gracefully.
I get a lot of questions about the proper way to apply products, so I thought I would share some tips.
When applying products, think about your morning and night routine. Most products need to be applied only once per day. So if you are using two serums, apply one serum in the morning and the other one at night.
There are a few products that you should only use at night and some you should use during the day.
Retinol or any Vitamin A should be used at night (* stop using these 3 days before sun vacations, treatments, or waxing) and always use sunscreen.
Antioxidants like Vitamin C should be used during the day because they are environmental protectants.
Your most active product should be applied first so stem cells before vitamin c
Generally, serums before creams.
Sunscreen after all products every day before your make-up
Normal Skin routine can look like this.
AM wash - tone - advanced growth factor - C5 cream - sunscreen - make - up
PM wash - tone - retinol - needle free serum - dermarescue
Medical grade products only require a small amount to be used, don't waste products by rubbing in your hands. A dime-size amount on one finger, then dot around the face and rub in.
I hope this is helpful.
