I wanted to share our new PDO thread lifting results. PDO threads allow me to lift your skin in a way that doesn't add volume to your face.
HOW PDO THREAD LIFT WORKS
Smooth is able to achieve these amazing facial rejuvenation results in the Mid Face Lift by using technologically advanced threads made of polydioxanone (also known as PDO). These threads are expertly placed in the skin which provides a natural-looking, tightening and lifting effect on the face.
The PDO threads we use are some of the best and most powerful threads available. Because each patient is a little bit different, we are able to select the right combination of threads to give patients the most ideal and customized results. As time passes, the PDO threads will dissolve and stimulate collagen production.
IDEAL CANDIDATES FOR PDO LIFT
While the PDO Lift delivers impressive results, it isn’t the right solution for everyone. Ideal candidates for PDO Lift are generally younger and don’t carry weight in their face, or people who may be older that prefer not to have surgery.
However, patients that have only lighter signs of aging and are looking for an effective solution to look younger, PDO Lift is a wise choice. We understand how busy life can be and the PDO Lift is a fast procedure (about 30 minutes) that has virtually no downtime. This means you’ll look great without all the recovery time typically found with surgery.
PDO LIFT PRE-TREATMENT:
Avoid NSAIDS/ Blood thinners 1 week prior to treatment.
Ensure skin is clean of makeup and lotions.
Talk to your provider if you have any medical conditions or allergies.
Postpone social events and big activities for 3 weeks..
PDO LIFT POST-TREATMENT:
Effects will be seen immediately after treatment. However, maximum effects are typically seen 4-6 weeks.
Swelling and bruising is expected. Arnica may be taken to facilitate healing.
Irregularity and asymmetry of the tissue is common and will typically resolve in 2-3 weeks.
Pain at the insertion site is expected and will resolve over time.
Avoid excessive facial movement and animation for approximately 2 weeks.
Facial treatments (laser, microneedling, fillers) may resume after 4 weeks
Avoid applying makeup to insertion point until completely healed
Avoid strenuous activities (exercise) for 2 weeks.
Avoid steam rooms, hot tubs, saunas for 2 weeks.
Any discomfort, Tylenol may be taken.
Bandaids will be placed along the area of insertion and may be removed 1 day post tx. Remove in upward motion.
Buckling or ridges may occur post treatment, call and schedule a follow up appointment should this not resolve in 2-3 days
